Photography is one of the most important forms of visual arts in the world of arts. Images captured can speak more and reveal more about yourself that anything else. When it comes to wild life photography, a picture should speak for the life captured there.

ANOOP RONALD
A first year student at CAVA, his dedication , love for animals and drive to make a change in the world makes him such a great inspiration to all young photographers out there. He is also the blog's official photographer. There is no doubt why.
Since when have you been interested in wild life photography?
'The moment I fell in love with elephants. I felt like I had to do something for the depleting forests in India which meant the loss of elephant habitat. Though my primary interest was IFS(Indian Forest Service) fate had a different plan for me. Due to my grades i took a different route and fell in love with wild life photography, so in the end it worked out perfectly.'
As a student of photography, there must me something you always dreamed of capturing, what is it?
'It has always been my dream to capture a tiger and an elephant in one frame. And I have been successful in doing so.We were in Nagarhole national park and it had been an hour or so since we had been following the tigers tracks leading to a near by bush. We spot a tiger trying to hunt Goar (Bison). It wasn't successful in catching its prey and laid down on the grass rolling around. The same moment an elephant comes from the opposite site definitely unaware of the tiger. We stayed back to see the whole scene as we knew something was bound to happen. Possibly due to the vibrations the tiger sprints up and spots the elephant. That was the moment my dream came true.'
Who is your favorite wild life photographer?
'Jayanth Sharma.'
Did you work for any cause?
'I work with an NGO that works towards the conservation of forests so my dream of working in the IFS never really died.'
What advice would you give youngsters interested in photography?
'Patience. Luck is the apex of photography and without patience photography is pointless.'
Out of all the colleges, why CAVA?
'Mysore sits in the midst of wildlife and bird sanctuaries. And CAVA is the only college in India offering a degree in photography and photojournalism. It's the best option.'
Would you recommend CAVA to international students?
Yes. If they are dedicated and hardworking CAVA is the place to be because this stream is going to be the survival of the fittest. Hardworking and dedicated students survive, and as long as they are both, they are good to go.'
